Item No. 7C <br />Staff Report No. <br />Date of Meeting: January 7, 2002 <br />Type of Business: CA <br />WK: Work Session; PH: Public Hearing; <br />CA: Consent Agenda; CB: Council Business City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Greg Lee, Director of Public Works <br />Item Title/Subject: Engineering Services of S E H for County Road H2 <br />Reconstruction (Pleasant View Drive to County <br />Highway 10) <br />Date of Report: January 7, 2002 <br /> <br />At the October 8, 2001 council meeting, Council authorized Staff to proceed with the <br />road reconstruction project on County Road H2 (Pleasant View Drive to County Highway <br />10). <br /> <br />In accordance with the adopted assessment policy, a 60 day waiting period must <br />commence before any further action can occur on the project. As of December 8, 2001, <br />60 days had elapsed. <br /> <br />On December 10, 2001, the engineering firm of Short- Elliot-Henderickson Inc. <br />(S E H) submitted a Supplemental Letter of Agreement. This agreement outlines the <br />engineering services needed to facilitate the final planning, design, and preparation of <br />bid documents necessary to proceed with the County Road H2 Street Reconstruction <br />Project. The agreement has been attached for Council review. The cost of the proposed <br />services is estimated to be $72,125.00. Staff has review the agreement and found to be <br />acceptable and within the budget restraints of this project. <br /> <br />It should be noted that these services will be billed monthly based on an hourly rate and <br />will be review by staff prior to authorization of payment. <br /> <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Greg Lee, Director of Public Works <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />For Council to authorize Staff to execute the supplemental Letter of Agreement which <br />outlines engineering service proposed by S E H for the reconstruction of County Road <br />H2 (Pleasant View Drive to County Highway 10). <br />
