Mounds View City Council February 8, 1999 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br />opportunity to speak with Mr. Vento after the meeting to discuss issues specific to Mounds View <br />and had extended an offer to come to a Council Meeting in the future. <br /> <br />Council Member Marty reported that there were approximately 125 people registered in various <br />programs through park and recreation. He then noted that the next Mounds View Matters would <br />list several new programs being offered. <br /> <br />Council Member Marty reported that the Park and Recreation Committee would be purchasing a <br />gym curtain to divide the court in order to hold two games at the same time. He noted that the <br />senior center was in need of several items including, a refrigerator, TV/VCR, ping pong tables, <br />and board games. He then asked residents to consider donating any used equipment they may <br />have provided it was in good working order. <br /> <br />Council Member Marty indicated that landscaping would be done around the sandlot volleyball <br />court in the spring. <br /> <br />Council Member Quick had no report. <br /> <br />6. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />A. Approve Just and Correct Claims <br />B. Approval of Booster Station Upgrade and Y2K SCADA System <br />C. Set a Public Hearing at 7:05 p.m., Monday, February 22, 1999, to consider <br />Resolution 5312, regarding a Conditional Use Permit for an oversized garage <br />located at 8100 Long Lake Road <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin asked the Council if anyone would like to remove items for discussion. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Thomason. To Approve the Consent Agenda for Items A, B, and C <br />as presented. <br /> <br />Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br /> A. City Cell Phones <br /> <br />It was the consent of Council to move the cell phone discussion to the work session. <br /> <br />Council Member Stigney asked Staff to bring information concerning actual cell phone costs <br />from the last year and cost information on the current cell phone provider for discussion at the <br />work session. <br />
