RESOLUTION NO. 5738 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITH <br />EHLERS & ASSOCIATES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds has received a letter from the Office of the State <br />Auditor inquiring about transactions reported in the City’s 2000 TIF Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 2000 TIF Reports were prepared at a time of turnover in City staff <br />and were completed by a person unfamiliar with TIF reporting; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to correct possible errors in the <br />2000 TIF Reports and re-submit them to the Office of the State Auditor; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ehlers & Associates is already advising the City of Mounds View on <br />matters related to TIF; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, engaging Ehlers to correct the 2000 TIF Reports and prepare the <br />2001 TIF Reports will have the advantages using their TIF expertise and their time to <br />address the reports immediately; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ehlers has proposed to provide these services to the City at an <br />estimated cost of $3,000 to $4,000 and such costs may be charged to the TIF Districts. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes staff to <br />engage Ehlers & Associates to prepare TIF Report for the years 2000 and 2001 at an <br />estimated cost of $3,000 to $4,000. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 25th day of March, 2002. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> Rich Sonterre, Mayor <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> Kathleen Miller, City Administrator <br />Motion By: <br />Second By: <br /> <br />Sonterre: <br />Quick: <br />Stigney: <br />Thomas: <br />Marty:
