<br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 699 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />BY AMENDING CHAPTER 1006 ENTITLED, “BUILDING PERMITS AND FEES; <br />DEVELOPMENT CONTROLS” <br /> <br /> The Council of the City of Mounds View does hereby ordain: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: Section 1006.04 of the Mounds View Building Code is hereby <br />amended with the proposed additions underlined and the deletions stricken as follows: <br /> <br />1006.04: CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY REQUIRED: OCCUPANCY OF BUILDING: <br />The exterior of any building shall be completed prior to occupancy of that building. <br /> <br />Subd 1. A certificate of occupancy shall be required whenever: <br />1. Any structure is erected or moved. <br />2. Any portion of any existing industrial or commercial structure is <br />structurally altered or remodeled to the point a permit is required. <br />3. Any existing industrial or commercial structure changes occupancy <br />classification or is occupied by a new tenant or owner. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. No structure or portion of a structure shall be occupied prior to obtaining <br />a certificate of occupancy. <br /> <br />Subd. 3. All certificates of occupancy shall be applied for prior to occupying the <br />building or structure. Said certificates shall be issued within 5 days after the <br />erection, moving or alternation shall have been finally approved. <br /> <br />Subd. 4. The exterior of any building shall be completed prior to occupancy of <br />that building. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after the date of its <br />publication. <br /> <br /> First read by the City Council of the City of Mounds View this 8th day of April, <br />2002. <br /> <br /> Read and passed by the City Council of the City of Mounds View th is 22nd day of <br />April, 2002. <br />
