RESOLUTION 9000 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF (2) HI -E DRY DEHUMIDIFIERS FOR WATER <br />TREATMENT PLANT 1 <br />WHEREAS, the City has the responsibility to efficiently operate the water <br />distribution system; and <br />WHEREAS, in each of the water treatment plants are dehumidifiers used to keep <br />the heavy moisture out of the electronic controls and equipment used to properly run the <br />water system; and <br />WHEREAS, both these units have failed, the units are over ten years, and the <br />repair costs exceed the return of investment; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has received two quotes for replacement Hi -E Dry units: <br />USA Bluebook $3,427.95 each plus shipping costs <br />Sylvane $3,427.95 each with no shipping costs <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Purchase of (2) Hi —E Dry Dehumidifiers from Sylvane for a cost of $3,427.95 <br />each for a total of $6,855.90 which includes shipping. <br />2. Funded from the Water department 2018 adopted budget account 700-4823- <br />1250. <br />3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by <br />this resolution. <br />4.
