RESOLUTION NO. 8989 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ADOPTING A MARKET ADJUSTMENT FOR THE DEPUTY POLICE CHIEF <br />POSITION <br />WHEREAS, the City commissioned a market study in 2017 to maintain a <br />competitive pay structure in light of significant staff turnover; and <br />WHEREAS, the Deputy Police Chief would be subject to a market adjustment <br />based on the study; and <br />WHEREAS, the Deputy Police Chief is currently at step 5 or $49.42 per hour; and <br />WHEREAS, the police department will be making personnel changes in the fall of <br />2018 that will provide capacity for a market adjustment of approximately $1,300 or $1.48 <br />per hour, which would increase the interim rate to $50.90; and <br />WHEREAS, the interim rate and the new wage scale would be adjusted for any <br />Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) the City Council grants for 2019. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby adopt the interim wage rate of $50.90 for the Deputy Police Chief, effective August <br />26, 2018 and progression to step 5 of the new wage scale on August 26, 2019. <br />ATTEST: <br />(seal) <br />Step 1 <br />1 Step 1.5 <br />1 Step 2 <br />1 Step 3 <br />1 Step 4 <br />1 Step 5 <br />42.13 <br />143.44 <br />144.76 <br />147.39 <br />150.03 <br />152.66 <br />Adopted this 13"' day of August, 2018. <br />Carol A.
