PUBLIC INPUT <br /> <br />Jerry Linke of 2319 Knoll Drive indicated he had looked for Item K in the public book and it is <br />not there. He then commented that the Administration does not follow state law as to what goes <br />into the public book and when it goes there. He further stated that he concurs with the City <br />employees that this Administration does not know what it is doing and is in violation of many <br />state statutes. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Reed indicated she would be adding a copy of the contract when <br />Council gets to that portion of the agenda. <br /> <br />Chuck Chisolm of 3644 41st Avenue South indicated he was a golf pro up at the golf course and <br />indicated he was paid for three and a half months as full time and was told he was only seasonal. <br />He also indicated he taught lessons in May and June and was not paid nor was he paid for the <br />junior golf lessons he provided in February and March. <br /> <br />Mr. Chisolm indicated that the City owes him $1,4____ for the last year and asked what he was <br />supposed to do to get the City to pay him the money he is owed. Mr. Chisolm further <br />commented that he had been told by the City Administrator that the matter would be discussed as <br />part of the collective bargaining but the City has refused to bargain. He then said β€œthe City <br />Administrator is screwing the City, you owe the money pay up.” <br /> <br />Mayor Sonterre commented that Council, by majority vote, had made public its confidence in the <br />ability of the City Administrator. <br /> <br />Jon Uline of 10953 Xylite Court NE, Blaine said he was unhappy with the way the <br />representatives of the City handled the rest of the employees at the golf course after terminating <br />the golf course manger. He then said he feels the City drew a line in the sand and let a cancer <br />grow rather than working with the people running the course. <br /> <br />Ron Houston, Assistant Manager and golf pro indicated the golf course staff was not told about <br />the change in the way golf lesson were paid, the employees found out when the money was not in <br />their checks. He then said he was told that the golf lessons would be part of the bargaining. He <br />indicated he is owed $3,370.00 for golf lessons and has not been paid. He also indicated he was <br />told he could not use sick time during the off-season. He further indicated he was told he could <br />make up the time with comp time once the course opened but when he got his check vacation <br />days were used. <br /> <br />Mr. Houston indicated he has had a difficult time dealing with the Administration because <br />nothing is ever communicated to the employees, thins are just taken away. He then said the golf <br />course makes a lot of money and the employees want to continue working there, all they want is <br />their job back.
