Mounds View City Council June 10, 2002 <br />Regular Meeting Page 7 <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Thomas/Marty. To Approve Resolution 5789, a Resolution Authorizing <br />Retroactive Compensation for the Former Assistant Clubhouse Manager as Amended. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />7. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br /> A. Public Hearing to Consider an Off-sale Intoxicating Liquor license for Keng <br />Young for ABC Liquor at 2840 Highway 10 NE. <br /> <br />Mayor Sonterre opened the public hearing at 8:17 p.m. <br /> <br />City Administrator Miller indicated that this was published for a public hearing in the May 30, <br />2002 Focus. She then noted that the police check, utility billing and fire inspections were fine as <br />well as a good standing with the Minnesota Department of Revenue and Staff is recommending <br />approval of this Resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Sonterre closed the public hearing at 8:18 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 5787, a <br />Resolution Approving an Intoxicating Liquor License for Keng Young for ABC Liquor at 2840 <br />Highway 10 NE. <br /> <br />Council Member Marty commented that once he had the paperwork the matter was self- <br />explanatory. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />Council Member Thomas noted it was Ms. Reed’s birthday and that is why she is not present. <br /> <br />City Administrator Miller indicated that Ms. Reed is on vacation. <br /> <br />Mayor Sonterre noted Council Member Thomas recently had her 30th birthday. <br /> <br />B. Public Hearing to Consider Resolution 5775 Reapproving the Preliminary <br />Plat for the Mermaid Addition Major Subdivision. <br /> <br />Mayor Sonterre opened the public hearing at 8:19 p.m. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained that the preliminary plat approval had <br />expired because the final plat could not be filed due to circumstances beyond the control of the <br />Mermaid. He then indicated that the City needs to reapprove the preliminary plat and noted that <br />the final plat is ready to be filed. <br />
