Public Hearing to Consider an Off-sale Intoxicating Liquor license for Keng Young for ABC Liquor at 2840 Highway 10 NE. Mayor Sonterre opened the public hearing at 8:17 p.m. City Administrator Miller indicated that this was published for a public hearing in the May 30, 2002 Focus. She then noted that the police check, utility billing and fire inspections were fine as well as a good standing with the Minnesota Department of Revenue and Staff is recommending approval of this Resolution. Mayor Sonterre closed the public hearing at 8:18 p.m. MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 5787, a Resolution Approving an Intoxicating Liquor License for Keng Young for ABC Liquor at 2840 Highway 10 NE. Council Member Marty commented that once he had the paperwork the matter was self- explanatory. Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. Council Member Thomas noted it was Ms. Reed’s birthday and that is why she is not present. City Administrator Miller indicated that Ms. Reed is on vacation. Mayor Sonterre noted Council Member Thomas recently had her 30th birthday. B. Public Hearing to Consider Resolution 5775 Reapproving the Preliminary Plat for the Mermaid Addition Major Subdivision. Mayor Sonterre opened the public hearing at 8:19 p.m. Community Development Director Ericson explained that the preliminary plat approval had expired because the final plat could not be filed due to circumstances beyond the control of the Mermaid. He then indicated that the City needs to reapprove the preliminary plat and noted that the final plat is ready to be filed.
