MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5837 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CERTIFICATON OF THE PROPOSED <br />GENERAL FUND BUDGET AND PROPERTY TAX LEVY FOR FISCAL YEAR <br />2003 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, current State Statute requires cities to certify a proposed <br />budget and tax levy to the county auditor; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, guidelines established by the Commissioner of Revenue <br />require certification to occur on or before September 16, 2002; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Revenue has certified Local Government <br />Aid (LGA) payable in Fiscal year 2003; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Minnesota, that the proposed budget for the General Fund for <br />Fiscal year 2003 is $4,913,912; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proposed <br />2003 General Fund levy is $2,543,290 and the 1997 Fire Bond levy is $65,658, <br />for a total net levy of $2,608,948: and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Mounds View <br />City Council that this resolution represents a good faith effort by the City of <br />Mounds View to substantially comply with all applicable laws and guidelines <br />established by the State Legislature and Commissioner of Revenue. <br /> <br />Adopted this 9th day of September 2002. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: ________________________________ <br /> Richard Sonterre, Mayor <br />SEAL: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Kathleen F.
