Mounds View City Council October 28, 2002 <br />Regular Meeting Page 22 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Sonterre asked residents to read the Mayor’s message in Mounds View Matters because it <br />provides information on a developing project with National Citizen Corporation to aid the City <br />through the use of skilled and qualified residents in times of tragedy. He then said he would be <br />seeking qualified individuals to participate in the program. <br /> <br />Mayor Sonterre indicated that last week was the North Metropolitan Mayor’s Association <br />monthly meeting and the topic was an interview with Senator Wellstone and Norm Coleman. He <br />then said that Coleman did not attend but Senator Wellstone did. He further stated that he was <br />able to sit down with Senator Wellstone for 10 or 15 minutes after the meeting to discuss issues <br />with him and that makes his untimely death all the more real and personal for him. <br /> <br />10. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />A. Minutes for October 14, 2002 <br /> <br />Council Member Marty requested the following changes: On Page 1 middle of page add (closed <br />session). On Page 4 correct $3,680 to $36.80. On Page 9, second paragraph last line, change to <br />$100.00 per month. On page 17, center paragraph add, “to be aired on their local government <br />access channel.” Correct SCH to SEH. <br /> <br />Council Member Thomas requested the following changes: On Page 6 at end of sentence <br />indicate that “the City has no authority for new traffic laws on a state highway.” On Page 7 add <br />“or a special construction schedule for traffic safety concerns.” <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Approve the Minutes of the City Council for October <br />14, 2002 as Amended. <br /> <br />Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />11. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> None. <br /> <br />12.
