Consideration of Resolution No. 4503 Authorizing a Contribution to <br /> the Business Landfill Coalition <br /> Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reported that at a recent <br /> meeting of the Mounds View Business Association, Mr. Tom Snell from <br /> • the Anoka Chamber of Commerce, reported that a coalition of <br /> businesses and cities from Anoka and western Ramsey County were <br /> forming a coalition to lobby for equity in the clean-up of the <br /> states contaminated landfills. The Business Association has <br /> contributed to the Business Landfill Coalition as has several <br /> individual Mounds View businesses. Orduno stated that the <br /> participation by the City of Mounds View is an effort to send a <br /> supportive message to local businesses that the City is a partner <br /> with them in the lobbying effort for reform of Superfund <br /> legislation. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Blanchard/Wuori to Adopt Resolution No. 4503 <br /> Autharizin a-Contr bution to the-Business-Landfill Coal- tion <br /> Councilmember Blanchard stated that it is important that we join <br /> together and do something about Superfund. <br /> VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> E. Consideration of Introduction of Ordinance No. 534 Vacating City <br /> Owned Right-Of-Way, 4751 Mustang Circle <br /> Paul Harrington, City Planner, explained that this ordinance would <br /> allow the vacation of City-owned Right-Of-Way in the industrial <br /> park. Harrington further reported that Mustang Lane would be <br /> vacated and become part of the Dynex property at 4751 Mustang <br /> • Circle. Harrington stated that although the City Charter does not <br /> require a hearing to be held, it is the opinion of the attorney that <br />
