Mounds View City Council Page Four <br /> 0 Regular Meeting March 14, 1994 <br /> Cruikshank commented that many of the candidates for the <br /> positions indicated that they were very impressed with the <br /> business park. <br /> C. Consideration of Hiring of Housing Intern <br /> Tim Cruikshank, Assistant to the City Administrator, reported that <br /> as identified by Focus 2000, the 1994 Budget was approved which <br /> provided funding for a Housing Intern position to create a housing <br /> stock inventory for analysis. Cruikshank reported that seven <br /> applicants were interviewed and Jennifer Bergman was the interview <br /> panel's recommendation. Cruikshank stated that Bergman met the <br /> requirements of the position and demonstrated that she has the <br /> ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the <br /> position. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Trude/Quick to Approve the Hiring of Jennifer <br /> Bergman as Housing Intern for the City of Mounds View <br /> VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> D. Consideration of Approval of Construction Documents for Golf Course <br /> Buildings and Authorization to Advertise for Bids for the Buildings <br /> • Mary Saarion, Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry, <br /> introduced John Kohler from Runyon and Vogel was in attendance at <br /> the meeting. Mr. Kohler briefly went through the plans for the <br /> buildings. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Trude to Approve the Construction Documents <br /> for the Golf Course Clubhouse and Maintenance Buildings and Approve <br /> the Advertisement of Bids Beginning March 25 <br /> VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> E. Consideration-of Approval-of Engineering -Se-r-v c-es—to-Sho--rt--El-1 ott - <br /> Hendrickson for Pedestrian Bridge Grant <br /> Mary Saarion, Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry stated that <br /> staff was pursuing a grant through ISTEA for the installation of a <br /> pedestrian bridge across Highway 10 to be submitted by April 1. <br /> Saarion stated that preliminary engineering drawings, plans and cost <br /> estimates must accompany the proposal. Saarion further stated that <br /> SEH would provide these services for a cost of $1, 900. <br /> Saarion further stated that Ramsey County and MnDOT thought it was a <br /> good project and offered letters of support. <br /> Councilmember Quick asked if an underpass could be constructed. <br /> Saarion stated that underpasses could be a safety concern - a place <br />
