Consideration of Adoption of Resolution No. 4664 Approving
Feasibility Study and Plans and Specifications, Authorizing
Execution of Petition and Waiver Agreement, Ordering
Improvement Project No. 94-6, and Awarding a Contract Therefor
Paul Harrington, Community Development Coordinator, explained
that State Law and City Ordinances require that people who
have the availability to hook up to Municipal Sanitary Sewer
must do so and eliminate any type of septic system located on
their property. Owners of the property located at 7604 Spring
Lake Road have approached the City regarding the possibility
of assessing the charge for hook-up. Harrington cited the
other properties within the City that previously had that
charge assessed. Because the hook-up is a State requirement,
the City wants to help the residents to be able to meet that
requirement.
Harrington reported that he had prepared all documents and
sketches required to proceed with a special assessment. He
has discussed the item with the City Attorney and City Finance
Director. Thisitem is very similar to the ones the City has
done in the past.
MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Blanchard to Adopt Resolution No. 4664
Approving Feasibility Study and Plans and Specifications,
Authorizing Execution of Petition and Waiver Agreement,
Ordering Improvement Project No. 94-6, and Awarding a Contract
Therefor
__ V_OT_E: ___ _5__ayes __ 0__na_ys Motion Carried_
E.
