Mayor Linke read Resolution No. 4679 Commending Kevin Jacobs <br /> for Successful Completion of the Installation of a Park <br /> Planter Sign at Random Park <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Trude to Adopt Resolution No. 4679 <br /> Commending Kevin Jacobs for Successful Completion of the <br /> Installation of a Park Planter Sign at Random Park <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> Linke presented the Resolution to Kevin Jacobs. <br /> b. Mayor Linke read Resolution No. 4694 Commending Bob Nelson for <br /> His Years of Service to the D.A.R.E. Program <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Blanchard/Wuori to Adopt Resolution No. 4694 <br /> Commending Bob Nelson for His Years of Service to the D.A.R.E. <br /> Program <br /> Linke read a fax sent by Cindy Crosier on behalf of the Mounds <br /> . View School District which expressed their gratitude to Nelson <br /> for his contributions to the Pinewood Elementary School <br /> community. <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> Linke presented the Resolution to Officer Bob Nelson. <br /> c. Mayor Linke called Councilmember Diane Wuori to come before <br /> the Council and presented her with a plaque of appreciation on <br /> behalf of the people of Mounds View, the City Councilmembers, <br /> and Mayor Linke, together with the Mounds View City Staff. <br /> Mary Saarion, Parks & Recreation Commission Staff Member, <br /> presented to Councilmember Wuori a symbolic tree of tribute to <br /> be planted in the spring in the park of Wuori's choice. <br /> Saarion stated that Wuori's work in the parks will long be <br /> remembered. <br /> Commissioner Gary Stevenson read a plaque presented by the <br /> Parks & Recreation Commission and Staff which reiterated the <br /> words from the award presented earlier to Wuori, "You Are <br /> Quite Simply The Best. " <br /> Wuori expressed her appreciation for the awards, commenting <br /> that the tree of tribute was very special to her. <br /> • <br />
