MOUNDS VIEW CHARTER COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> December 12, 1984 <br /> I. Meeting called to order by Chairman Doty at 7:30 P.M. with recitation <br /> of the "Pledge Allegiance to the Flag". <br /> II. Roll Call <br /> Absent: Charlotte Forslund - Excused: ill <br /> Milan Illig <br /> The chairman noted that the name of Commission member Donald Hodges was <br /> omitted from the District Court's Order, File No. 430622, dated October 30, <br /> 1984, appointing members to the Charter Commission for a term of four years <br /> beginning November 1, 1984. Hodges stated he did indicate to the Chief Judge <br /> his willingness to serve another term. Chairman Doty said he would check the <br /> matter out with Judge Schultz as soon as possible. <br /> The following commission members were reappointed to serve a four year term <br /> beginning November 1, 1984 to November 1, 1988: <br /> Charlotte Forslund Russell A. Warren <br /> Milan Illig William Werner, Sr. <br /> Philip G. Johnson Ruth J. White <br /> Lowell D. Nygaard <br /> III. Approval of Minutes of December 14, 1983 <br /> Motion made by Judy Rowley, seconded by Don Hodges, to approve minutes of <br /> December 14, 1983, as presented. Motion passed with four abstentions., <br /> Abstained: Duane McCarty Lowell Nygaard <br /> Neil Loeding Ruth White <br /> IV. Old Business <br /> Chairman Doty stated that the Study Committee on Municipal Elections mentioned <br /> in Item V of the December 14, 1983, minutes did not meet; however, he presented <br /> to the commission for consideration a proposed amendment to Chapter 4, Nomin- <br /> ations and Elections, Sec. 4.01, of the city charter. Also, a proposed new <br /> Subdivision 7 under Section 4.05, Vacancy of Municipal Elected Office. <br />
