Mounds View Planning Commission September 7, 2016 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Vice Chair Love closed the public hearing at 7:37 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Klebsch discussed private property owners’ rights but also sympathized with the <br />adjacent property owners and their concern for the trees. She appreciated the concerns raised <br />this evening regarding the loss of trees. <br /> <br />Commissioner French agreed with Commissioner Klebsch and recommended the matter be <br />tabled to the September 21st meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schiltgen supported the request and was disappointed that the Commission could <br />not take action on the request this evening. <br /> <br />Planner Sevald discussed the review timeline for this Planning Case and noted this item would <br />be approved on September 23rd if no action was taken by that date. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Commissioner Klebsch/Commissioner French. To Table Action on <br />Planning Case No. VR2016-004 to the September 21, 2016 Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schiltgen stated again for the record that he supported the variance. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 3 Nay – 1 (Schiltgen) Motion carried. <br />_____________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />6. Upcoming Planning Cases & Activity <br /> <br />Planner Sevald discussed upcoming planning cases. <br /> <br />Commissioner Klebsch excused herself from the meeting. <br /> <br />B. Staff Updates <br /> <br />Planner Sevald provided the Commission with an update from staff. He reported staff was <br />working to retool the City’s website. He discussed a training opportunity for the Planning <br />Commissioners which would be held on Thursday, October 20th. <br /> <br />C. Council Updates <br />
