Mounds View Planning Commission <br />Regular Meeting <br />July 9, 2013 <br />Page 3 <br />Associate Heller commented she would continue to revise the language on the Code and bring it <br />back before the Commission at a future meeting, <br />7. Next Planning Commission Meeting: <br />A. July 24, 2013 (Note week change) <br />B. August 7, 2013 <br />8. Review Minutes: <br />A. June 19, 2013 <br />The Commission discussed the June 19, 2013 meeting minutes and noted a couple of changes. <br />9. Staff Updates <br />A. Upcoming Planning Cases <br />Planning Associate Heller discussed upcoming planning cases. She noted the City recently <br />purchased the Taiko Restaurant and was hoping to purchase Robert's Sports Bar in the near <br />future. These properties could then be combined with the city -owned Premium Stop site for a <br />future redevelopment. <br />Associate Heller noted the Apple Tree Dental financing was approved last night by the Council <br />and hoped to close on the property in mid-August. She indicated the Northwoods Outdoor <br />business was open for business and would holding a ribbon cutting ceremony in the near future. <br />10. Chairperson and Planning Commissioners Reports <br />Commissioner Love encouraged the Commission members to read a book called Vision for <br />Better Communities, She found the information in this book to be current and progressive when <br />addressing planning activities.. <br />Associate Heller commented the Commission had funds available for training and could possibly <br />use it to purchase these books. <br />
