Mounds View Planning Commission February 4, 2009 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br />Community Development Director Roberts stated the last park dedication fee was paid in 2000. <br />He stated with this subdivision there is no additional impact or demand on the City parks system. <br />He stated the City Council would be discussing this at the upcoming City Council meeting. <br />Commissioner Walsh-Kaczmarek discussed the fire code requirement with the door between the <br />Mermaid and hotel be permanently closed off. She asked if a Hold Harmless Agreement has <br />been drafted yet. <br />Community Development Director Roberts stated the document had not been draft yet and the <br />proposal is waiting for approval from the City Council. <br />Commissioner Walsh-Kaczmarek stated there should be adequate language within this document <br />to protect the city from responsibility. She asked if there are additional fire codes that need to be <br />addressed. <br />Community Development Director Roberts stated the Fire Marshal and Building Official will be <br />checking the exiting to assure there are enough doors in the facility.. Also, because the hotel was <br />recently built, the city is assuming the facility is adequately equipped. <br />Commissioner Miller questioned the ownership of the tent that is constructed on the site during <br />part of year. <br />Community Development Director Roberts stated the tent would be the ownership of the <br />Mermaid because they provide the catering services for the events taking place in the tent. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Commissioner Langicommissioner Cramblit. To approve Resolution <br />899-09, a resolution to approve of a Revised Preliminary Plat for the Mermaid, 2200 County <br />Highway 10. <br />Ayes —6 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />7. Other Planning Activity <br />A. Review Planning Commission Bylaws <br />Community Development Director Roberts stated that the commission is to review the by-laws <br />at the first meeting of February. He stated the last time the Commission amended them was two <br />years ago. <br />Chair Stevenson asked for a vote to approve the Planning Commission Bylaws as is. <br />Ayes —6 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />
