<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 354-92 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING MAINTAINING THE REQUIRED FIVE FOOT (5') <br />SIDE YARD SETBACK FOR IMPROVED, OFF-STREET PARKING AREAS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning commission - at the <br />direction of the City Council - has conducted a detailed review of <br />the side yard setback requirements for improved, off-street parking <br />areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning commission reviewed the <br />requirements of the City of Mounds View against the requirements of <br />communities in the surrounding area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning commission found that <br />the requirements of the city of Mounds View are comparable to those <br />of the surrounding communities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the Planning commission's opinion that the <br />existing five foot (5') side yard setback for improved, off-street <br />parking areas is reasonable and appropriate. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View <br />Planning Commission recommends to the city Council that the <br />existing five foot (5') setback for improved, off-street parking <br />area be maintained based on the following findings of fact: <br /> <br />1. The location of a large number of utility easements along <br />side property lines within the City would require the removal <br />and replacement of impervious surface in the event <br />maintenance is needed. <br /> <br />2.
