N Burmeister brought to tho attertiun of the Com~lssion a raport by tha Metxu Cuuncil on projections for the amount of travel on M~unds Yi9w streets. After mach discussion, the commission con- cluded that the M2tro Cou~~cil could noL be a realistic madiary since Hleina has no comprehensive plan froan which to make a fair docision. They also recommended sending a letter to tha Metro Council reminding them they epproved the paragraph in Mounds Yiew Comproliensive Flan regarding no access ~F any kind off uf the n~w intes~change into Mounds View, and to keep this in mind when tliey make nny decisions on this matter. The report also stated if ;amesville airport is to be upgraded, Mounds View would received the full impact of uir traffic. There has been discusszon of this matter previously by pasi Councils and Planning Commissions and they havo consistently opposed upgreding cf Jamesville uirport. The commission fe].t i thore should be another reinstatement af this policy. MSP (Haake-Burmeister) recommend to the City Council to discourage through sll channeis available any future upgrading of Lhe Jamos- ville Airport. ~ 8ye~ The Con~ission decidad that a task force on the subject of the Red Oak interchnnge was not necessary. Howaver, they felt a task force would be usaful in deciding the recreational vehicle parking ordinance. Thoy approved the guidelinns f.or the crea4ion und operat3.on af a task force with a faw mi.ior changos. The recrea- tional vehicle parking ordinance will ba discussad further at their next maeting on May il, 1977. , MSP (Haake-Burmaister) racommend to Council to ostablish guide- lines for any future advisory task forca that would be formed for comments to tha Council, Commission or staff.
