PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />September 10, 1980 <br />7:30 P,M. <br />Chairperson Mountin oalled the Public Hearing to <br />order at 7130 P.M. at the Mounds View City Hall <br />Counoil Chambers. <br />Members Present: Commissioners Warren, Miller, <br />Fedor, Loading, McCarthy, and Chairperson Mountin. <br />Members Abs att: Commissioners Glazer and Haake <br />ng <br />l <br />DAlSO avidPLichttandDAnnei$ro kenZofiNorthwestaRose( <br />Asso- <br />ciated Consultants, Ino. <br />Chairperson Mountin also noted that the reoord <br />will include a Dopy of the notice of hearing as <br />published in the "New Brighton Bulletin;" Aug. 28, <br />and September 4, 1980. <br />Mountin explained the purpose of the hearing was <br />inform the public of the changes being made to <br />j City'e official bng-range planning guide and <br />rovide citizens the opportunity to comment on <br />t e plan. Counter oopiee are available at City Hall <br />for the public's review during <br />malgbusiness <br />ness houhours. <br />Mountin also noted that the pbnor <br />oomments concerning the material being presented were <br />welcomed. <br />Commissioner McCarthy gave a brief history of the <br />planning process in Mounds View and explained the City's <br />progress to the present Comprehensive Plan Update. <br />The Comprehensive Plan is a coordinated decision -making <br />framework to guide deve:iament and change within Mounds View. <br />The result of the Plan, properly carried out, is a more <br />desirable environment in which tolive <br />and <br />daworkwork; <br />it circs a <br />ulation <br />Mounds, View with better housing, better <br />. and in general, a more efficient and desirable use of both <br />publio and private land. <br />The foundation of a Comprehensive Plan is its Goals.
