Mounds View Planning Commission <br />August 2, 2000 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stevenson/Johnson to approve Resolution 627-00, a Resolution <br />Concerning the Mounds View Economic Development Authority’s Economic Development <br />Project and Tax Increment Financing Proposals. <br /> <br />Commissioner Stevenson noted the proposed resolution indicates the plans are consistent with <br />the Mounds View Comprehensive Plan and the Commission recommends approval of the plans <br />to the Mounds View City Council. <br /> <br />Chairperson Peterson concurred that the consideration is not of a financial nature, but that the <br />plans are consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 8 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />6. Review of Ordinance 665, an Ordinance Rezoning the Properties Associated with the <br />Walgreens PUD, and Ordinance 666, an Ordinance Vacating the Old Edgewood Drive <br />Right of Way. <br /> <br /> <br />Planning Associate Ericson gave the staff report as follows: <br /> <br />At the July 19th meeting, the Planning Commission approved Resolution 623-00, a resolution <br />which recommended to the City Council approval of the Walgreens development review stage of <br />their PUD, the preliminary plat, the rezoning, and the vacation of the old Edgewood Drive right <br />of way. Staff felt it should provide copies of these ordinances to the Commission for review <br />purposes, even though the Commission has already recommended their approval. <br /> <br />He noted the City Attorney has provided copies of these two ordinances and explained that no <br />additional action is required at this time other than to review the ordinances and provide any <br />feedback to staff. The City Council is scheduled to hold second reading and adoption of the two <br />ordinances on August 28, 2000. <br /> <br />Chairperson Peterson stated proposed Ordinance No. 666 vacates a portion of Edgewood Drive <br />and proposed Ordinance No. 665 approves a rezoning of parcels from PF (Public Facilities <br />District) and B-3 (Highway Business District) to PUD (Planned Unit Development District). <br /> <br />No comments or objections were interposed regarding proposed Ordinance Nos. 665 or 666. <br /> <br /> <br />7. Special Planning Case SP-075-00. <br /> <br />Discussion and Consideration of Resolution 629-00, a Resolution Recommending <br />Approval of Proposed Ordinance 663, an Ordinance Creating Language to Administer <br />and Regulate Tattoo and Body Piercing Establishments. <br />
