RESOLUTION NO. 9009 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF THREE FORD POLICE INTERCEPTOR UTILITY <br />VEHICLES ALONG WITH ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT AND SETUP COSTS <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department maintains a replacement <br />schedule of police vehicles to ensure that the police department can provide reliable <br />quality service to the community with a dependable fleet of police vehicles, and; <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department planned and budgeted for the <br />replacement of two squad cars in 2019 at $27,363.45 (each) plus additional equipment <br />and set-up costs of $ 25,000.00; <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department is in immediate need to <br />replace a wrecked marked patrol vehicle, <br />WHEREAS, Hibbing Ford has been awarded the state bid contract for the 2019 <br />Ford Police Interceptor Police Utility vehicles at an approximate cost of $27,363.45; with <br />set up cost at $6000.00 utilizing some salvaged equipment for this replacement squad. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to authorize the purchase of two 2019 Ford <br />Police Interceptor Utility vehicles at an approximate cost of $27,363.45.00 (each) plus <br />additional equipment and setup costs of approximately $25,000.00 for a total expense <br />of $79,726.90 in the 2019 budget, the immediate purchase and set up of a 2019 police <br />squad at $33,363.45 and funded from Account 460-4200-7040. <br />Adopted this 27°d day off August 2018. <br />Carol A.
