<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 409-95 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW 14 CATS AT <br />8242 GREENWOOD DRIVE, PLANNING CASE NO. 404-94 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission has reviewed the <br />request of Reginald and Sharon Nelson for a variance to allow the present 14 cats on <br />their residential property located at 8242 Greenwood Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Municipal Code allows up to four (4) cats on a <br />residential property; and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has submitted a letter of hardship outlining the <br />need for the variance due to all 14 cats being exposed to the Feline Infectious <br />Peritonitis (FIP); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the criteria used to <br />evaluate all variance requests; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that exceptional <br />circumstances apply to the property which do not apply generally to other properties in <br />the vicinity and result from circumstances over which the owners of the property have <br />had no control. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View <br />Planning Commission approves the request of Reginald and Sharon Nelson for a <br />variance to allow the present 14 cats on their residential property contingent upon the <br />following: <br /> <br />1) The cats shall be kept inside the principal <br />structure on the property at all times. <br /> <br />2) The cat waste be placed in plastic bags and disposed of with the <br />everyday household waste. <br /> <br />3) The owner shall notify the City upon death of all 14 cats exposed to <br />the Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) virus. <br /> <br />Adopted this 4th day of January, 1995. <br /> <br />ATTEST: . <br /> <br /> <br />2L <br /> <br />Chairm <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />,_ A / e:..---- L, <br />.... , ,..- <br />munity Devel ment Coordinator <br />
