Motion/Second: Quick/Wuori to approve Resolution No. 2434 Appointing the Official Newspaper, Acting Mayor and Official Depository for 1989. 4 ayes 0 nays Mayor Hankner introduced Resolution No. 2433 Appointing Councilmembers and Clerk-Administrator as represenatives on City Commissions and for outside organizations and discussed the preferences of Councilmembers for serving on City Commissions and outside organizations. Agreement was reached as to who would serve as the City's delegate and alternate to outside organizations. A general discussion followed regarding the City's conversion of police vehicles to propane and the opinion of the City's police officers on the quality of Chevrolet Caprice squad cars. Motion/Second: Quick/Wuori to approve the purchase of a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice squad car from Thane-Hawkins Polar Chevrolet in the amount of $12,849. 4 ayes 0 nays City Planner Herman reported that the City of Mounds View had been approached by a resident of the City of New Brighton residing on County Road H regarding the provision of municipal water service by the City of Mounds View to this property. ~'A preliminary agreement has been reached with the property owner regarding the City and property owner's obligations for January 3, 1989 Page Two Motion Carried 6.
