Moifnds View City Council April 24, 1989 <br />Regular Meeting Page Two <br />• Mayor Hankner questioned whether an early morning or <br />late evening class time would be workable. <br />Mrs. Hoel replied it would. <br />Park Director Saarion explained it could be offered <br />in the early morning, but they would need to make <br />sure the costs were covered, by having enough people <br />registered. The fee is $17 per pass, which is good <br />for 10 times. The fee for children is also $17. <br />She further explained that many participants in the <br />water exercise class require therapy, which this <br />class does not provide, and she advises those people <br />that they may need to attend a specialized class for <br />that purpose. <br />Mayor Hankner requested that Items B and D be removed 7. Approval of <br />from the consent agenda. Consent <br /> Agenda <br />Motion/Second: Blanchard/Quick to approve the con- <br />sent agenda, minus Items B and D, and waive the <br />reading of the resolutions. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />• Clerk/Administrator Pauley explained Item B and <br />proposed Resolution No. 2466, which authorizes the <br />purchase of tax forfeited land. <br />Motion/Second; Quick/Wuori to approve Resolution <br />No. 2466, authorizing the purchase of tax forfeited <br />land, and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Hankner explained she had removed Item D from <br />the consent agenda in order to raise the awareness <br />level of the residents for Arbor Day, which is May 9, <br />and Arbor Month, which is the month of May. She also <br />reported this was the seventh annual award Mounds <br />View has received for Tree City USA. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley read proposed Resolution <br />No. 2468. <br />Motion/Second: Wuori/Quick to approve Resolution <br />No. 2468, proclaliming May 9, 1989 as "Arbor Day" and <br />the month of May as "Arbor Month". <br />• 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Hankner noted the triangular piece of property <br />by Pinewood School would be planted with the help of• <br />the students sometime during the month of May. <br />
