Mounds View City Council April 24, 1989 <br />Regular Meeting Page Eight <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Wuori to set meeting dates <br />for joint meetings of the City Council and Planning <br />Commission for the second and four Wednesday of each <br />month through May, and every Saturday at 8:30 AM. <br />to be held at City Ha11. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />The Council discussed back to back meetings on <br />Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings and it was <br />agreed that it was better to go with only one <br />meeting per weekend. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley stated Staff would <br />attend the Wednesday evening meetings. <br />Councilmember Wuori explained the purpose of the <br />meetings is to expedite the work on the Code <br />update. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Wuori to set a meeting for <br />Tuesday, May I6 at 3 PM at Mounds View City Hall <br />for a joint meeting of the Mounds View City <br />Council and Irondale High School personnel. <br />• 5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor Hankner explained there are a number of <br />issued to be worked out with the school district. <br />Mayor Hankner reported she had received a call <br />from a resident on Silver View Pond. concerning <br />placement of the path and plantings, who had been <br />mislead by an article in the New Brighton Bulletin. <br />She stated much time had been spent in working <br />with the residents, and the plantings will be <br />done within a planting cycle. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Quick to reaffirm the <br />City's commitment for the plantings around Silver <br />View Pond on the south side, and specify the time <br />for completion of the plantings, to be within one <br />year. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor Hankner reported on her speaking engagement <br />with the 2nd-4th grades at Sunnyside Elementary. <br />She stated they are very interested in recycling. <br />Motion Carried <br />Motion Carried <br />Motion Carried <br />Mayor Hankner noted that Councilmember Paone's <br />term is listed as expiring in 1992, and should be <br />corrected to 1990. <br />
