<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 662-01 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF M INNESOT A <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN INCREASED BUILDING <br />HEIGHT FOR A PROPOSED OFFICE BUILDING AT 7664 GREENFIELD A VENUE; <br />PLANNING CASE NO. DEOO-002. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the subject property is zoned B-3, Highway Business, is designated as a <br />"Neighborhood Commercial" use on the Comprehensive Plan and is legally described as follows: <br /> <br />/'ot 30. Block 3. Greenjield Plat 2. Sll~jectto Road Hasement <br />Ramsey County, State (~fMinnesota <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on February 26,2001, the City Council approved Resolution 5527, a <br />resolution approving a development review to construct a 2,006 square-foot office building at 7664 <br />Greenfield Avenue, as requested by the applicant, Tony Mezzenga; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 12,2001, the City Council adopted Resolution 5536 which <br />amended Resolution 5527 with regard only to the fencing and screening requirements; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the plans submitted to the Mounds View Building Official for permit review <br />were deemed to be inconsistent with the State Accessibility Code; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in response to the inconsistency with the State Accessibility Code, the <br />applicant has requested that the approved site plan be amended to allow for a two story building <br />rather than the originally-proposed one-and-a-half split-entry building; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all other requirements, conditions and stipulations addressed in Resolutions <br />5527 and 5536 shall remain in force. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View Planning Commission <br />recommends approval of the request to amend the approved plans to allow for a two story <br />building rather than the originally-proposed one-and-a-half story, split-entry building, subject to <br />the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. No windows shall be permitted on the upper story of the building's south elevation_ <br /> <br />2, No bay, projected or articulated windows shall be allowed on the upper story of the <br />east elevation; the windows shall be recessed to whatever extent possible to minimize <br />the peripheral sightlines. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission directs <br />Staff to forward this Resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the minutes. <br />
