Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />-------------------------------------------------- <br />Ms. Hren reviewed the request of the applicant for a <br />conditional use permit to construct an oversized <br />garage. The proposal meets all setback and size <br />requirements, and the applicant will not be able to <br />add an additional accessory building on the property <br />as this will be over 1,000 s.f. The Planning <br />Commission has reviewed the request and recommends <br />approval of the conditional use permit. <br />There were no comments from anyone present, so <br />Mayor Hankner closed the public hearing and reopened <br />the regular meeting at 7:17 PM. <br />Motion/Second: Wuori/Quick to approve Resolution <br />No. 2511, approving a conditional use permit request <br />by Michael Flaws, to construct an oversized accessory <br />building at 7620 Groveland Road. Planning Case No. <br />271-89, and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley read the items on the <br />proposed consent agenda. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Paone to approve the consent <br />• agenda. as presented, and waive the reading of the <br />resolutions. <br />5 ayes Q nays <br />.July 24, 1989 <br />Page Three <br />-------------------- <br />Motion Carried <br />9. Approval of <br />Consent Agenda <br />Ms. Hren reported that September 23 has been set as 10. <br />the hazardous waste collection day, between the <br />cities of Mounds View, Arden Hills and New Brighton. <br />Ramsey County has agreed to a one time grant to the <br />City, leaving the City's cost at approximately $500. <br />A flyer will go out with the next newsletter, as well <br />as having coverage in the Focus and New Brighton <br />Bulletin. Approximately 20 volunteers per City are <br />needed for the day, and volunteers can sign up with <br />City Planner Hren. <br />Jerry Linke, 2319 Knollwood Drive, asked if there <br />would be a charge to the residents for anything but <br />tires. Ms. Hren replied there would not be. <br />Motion/Second: Wuori/Blanchard to approve Resolu- <br />tion No. 2514, authorizing the Clerk/Administrator <br />• and Mayor to execute a household hazardous waste <br />collection agreement between Ramsey County, the City <br />of New Brighton, City of Arden Hills and City of <br />Mounds View, and waive the reading. <br />Motion Carried <br />Consideration <br />of Staff Memo <br />and Resolution <br />Concerning <br />Household <br />Hazardous Waste <br />Collection <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />
