<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />l\IOUNDS VIE'V PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 682-01 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIE\V <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A DEVELOPMENT REVIEW AND <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR EDGE\VOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL; <br />MOUNDS VIE'V PLANNING CASES DEOI-OOl AND CUOI-001. <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, The applicant, Edgewood Middle School (Independent School District <br />621), has applied for a development review to construct a 15,669 square foot building expansion <br />and parking lot alteration; and, <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, Edgewood Middle School is located at 5100 Edgewood Drive, property <br />zoned R-l, Single Family Residential and is legally-described as follows: <br /> <br />Subject to road alld highway easemellts, <br />640feet a/sol/lh 190feet, Il1e sawheasl % r!f <br />southwesl ~,~ rd'Sectioll 8, Towllship 30, Rallge 23 <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, according to Section 1006.06 of the Mounds Vie\\! Municipal Code, any new <br />construction or expansion of existing facilities requires the approval of a development review; and, <br /> <br />'VHEREAS, the applicant submitted a set ofplans, date stamped 11/28/01, pertaining to <br />the expansion which included a Site Plan, Demolition Plan, Site Layout Plan, Grading and <br />Drainage Plan, Site Detail Plan, Exterior Elevations, and Interior Floor Plan, all of which shall <br />collectively be referred to as the "Site Plans;" and, <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, the expansion will add 15,669 square feet of space to the school as shown <br />on the attached Site Plans; and, <br /> <br />\VIIEREAS, the expansion will remove 23 parking stalls from the existing 101 stalls in <br />the parking lot located on the north side of the building, which still satisfies the City's parking <br />code requirements for a school with 28 classrooms and 600 students; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Public Works Foreman, Community Development Dircctor, Engineering <br />Technician, and Fire Marshal have revicwcd the submitted site plans; and, <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission has reviewed the following <br />documents regarding this proposal: <br /> <br />1. Planning Application <br />2. Zoning Map <br />3. Location Map <br />4. Site Plans. date stamped 11/30/01 <br />
