M®unds View City Council October 9, 1989 <br />Regular Meeting Page Two <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />• Finance Director Brager reviewed the proposed 1990 <br />budget, explaining the City is looking at a budgetary <br />increase of 2.9~, with property taxes for the City <br />remaining the same in 1990 as in 1989. He also <br />reviewed estimated 1990 revenues for the general <br />fund, as well as the schedule of published notices <br />and public hearings which have been set. <br />Mayor Hankner stated it is important that people <br />understand the philosophy of tax calculations. She <br />further stated her concern that the tax bill is not <br />getting control of school spending. <br />Mayor Hankner closed the public hearing and re- <br />opened the regular meeting at 7:20 PM. <br />Motion/Second: Paone/Wuori to set a public hearing <br />for 7:0 PM on November 20, 1989, to reconvene on <br />December 11, 1989, if necessary, on the 1990 <br />budget. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor Hankner closed the regular meeting and opened <br />• the second public hearing at 7:22 PM. <br />Ms. Hren presented an overhead of the address map <br />and explained that Resolution No. 2501, which had <br />been adopted some time ago for Mounds View Business <br />Park South, had directed Staff to prepare an ordi- <br />nance rezoning the property to a PUD, from Highway <br />Commercial. <br />There were no questions or comments from the audience <br />and Mayor Hankner closed the public hearing and <br />reopened the regular meeting at 7:25 PM. <br />Mayor Hankner asked the status of the Woodale Drive <br />extension, and whether the residents of the area are <br />being kept informed. <br />Tim Nelson, of Everest Development, explained an <br />informational mailing was sent out last Friday, <br />setting out the schedule for the work to be done in <br />that area. Recipients were those provided on the <br />list from the City, of those who had been notified <br />of the public hearings. Woodale Drive will be kept <br />open during construction, and it is scheduled to be <br />completed by mid-November, the complete length from <br />Edgewood to Highway 10. <br />Motion Carried <br />7.
