<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 729-03 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />ST ATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE ACQUISITION OF TAX <br />FORFEITED PROPERTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the Mounds View Planning Commission is required to revicw proposed <br />acquisitions of real estate within the City by the City: and. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City currently owns or controls five lots covering approximately 6.5 <br />acres in the block bounded by County Road H2, Knollwood Dr., Woodale Drive, and Plcasant <br />View Drive; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed use of this property would be to facilitate the development of a <br />housing subdivision in the City of Mounds View; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the City has sought and obtained residential concept plans from three area <br />developers interested in developing municipal and privately-owned property for such residential <br />dcvelopment; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City was notified by Ramsey County that the tax-forfcited property <br />legally describcd as Lot 36, Knollwood Park. is available for $68,874.44 and the reconveyance <br />cost is $26.70; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS. this parcel of land is located within an area designated for low density <br />residential devclopment according to the City's Comprehensive Plan: and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the anticipated use of this property would be consistent with the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Plmming Commission of the City of <br />Mounds View, finding the proposed use consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. hereby <br />recommends approval to the City Council of the City of Mounds View regarding the acquisition <br />of Knollwood Park. Lot 36. the property between 3000 and 3016 Co. Rd. H2 with the PIN <br />number of 07-30-23-32-0005. <br /> <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Planning Commission directs staff to forward <br />this resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the minutes. <br /> <br />Adopted this 4th day of June, 2003. <br /> <br />,'" ,/ <br />~f <;: _J.~ ./ <br />./ f .
