r <br />~~ .,. <br />:: ~~ <br />The Mound <br />to order <br />DATE APPROVED: 12/26/89 <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Special Meeting <br />December 18, 1989 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />2401 Highway 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />View City Council was called <br />Mayor Hankner at 7:00 p.m. <br />MEMBERS P ESENT: Mayor Hankner, Quick, <br />Wuori, Pa ne, Blanchard. <br />0 nays <br />ALSO PRES NT: <br />Clerk-Adm nistrator Donald Pauley, Finance <br />Director on Brager, Public Works Director <br />Ric Mines or, Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br />Director aarion, and Police Chief Tim Ramacher. <br />Mayor Han ner indicated that the purpose of the <br />Special M eting was to conduct a hearing on the <br />proposed 990 Budget and called the hearing to <br />order. <br />-~'t'~r Hankner asked if anyone present for the <br />hearing h d seen the City's notice in the Star/ <br />Tribune a d three residents present indicated <br />they had een the advertisement. Mayor Hankner <br />reviewed the objectives adopted by the City for <br />the 1990 udget and turned the presentation of <br />the budget document over to Finance Director Brager. <br />Finance Di ector Brager reviewed the 1990 Budget <br />making spe ial note of the fact that the special <br />seesion of the Minnesota Legislature had reduced <br />the City's local government aids by over $260,000 <br />and transf rred those aids to the school district. <br />Therefore, the City was required to increase its <br />tax levy o face significant budget cuts to make <br />up for the lost revenues.
