<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MOUNDS VIEW PI.ANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 761-04 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOIVIMENDING APPROVAL OF THE ACQUISITION OF THE <br />PARCEL LOCATJ;:D AT 2525 COUNTY ROAD 10 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission is required to reVIew proposed <br />acquisitions of real property within the City by the City; and, <br /> <br />\YHEREAS, the parcel located at 2525 County Road 10, improved with the "Gas for <br />Less" fuel station and convenience store, has recently become available; and, <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, the one acre parcel is located at the intersection of County Road 10 and Long <br />Lake Road and is zoned B-3, Highway Business Commercial; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City currently owns the land adjacent to 2525 County Road 10 and has <br />improved upon said adjacent land its City Hall, public works garage, water tower, water treatment <br />faci I ity, well and pump house; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the adjacent City land covers approximately 15.5 acres <br /> <br />\YHEREAS, the proposed use of the subject property would be to facilitate the <br />redevelopment of this comer of the Long lake Road / County Road 10 intersection; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has authorized preparation of an appraisal of the property which has <br />a market value of $606,900 according to the Ramsey County Assessor's Office; and, <br /> <br />\VI-IEREAS, this parcel of land is located within an area designated as "Highway <br />Convenience" according to the City's Comprehensive Plan; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the anticipated reuse of this property would be consistent with the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Mounds View, finding the proposed reuse consistent with the Comprehensive Plan, hereby <br />recommends approval to the City Council of the City of Mounds View regarding the acquisition <br />of2525 County Road 10. <br /> <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Planning Commission directs staff to forward <br />this resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the minut~s. <br /> <br />/ cf!?~' -,"-' .... . <br />~,./ .. -- --.......... <br /> <br />..."~ / {-<--1;/~C'V..-2~- <br />" v II ,~ <br />Gary Stevelson, Chairp'erson <br /> <br />~CVYVlOi ~-, <br />James Ericson, lnteri m City Adm i nistrator <br /> <br />Adopted this 19th day of May, 2004. <br /> <br />ATTEST <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
