<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 802-05 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF (1) A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />AMENDMENT FROM PASSIVE OPEN SPACE (OSP) TO HEAVY INDUSTRIAL (HI), <br />(2) A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) AMENDMENT FOR SYSCO <br />MINNESOTA, AND (3) THE TRANSFER OF THREE ACRES OF SYSCO OUTLOT A <br />FROM THE CITY TO SYSCO MINNESOTA; <br />PLANNING CASES CP2005-001 AND PA2005-002 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the SYSCO Minnesota, represented by applicant and president Philip <br />Seipp, has submitted a request for a Comprehensive Plan amendment and a Planned Unit <br />Development (PUD) amendment relating to a proposed three-acre site expansion; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, SYSCO proposes a three-acre transfer of land from the City of Mounds <br />View (the "City") to SYSCO to facilitate a five-year business expansion plan; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in 1989, SYSCO deeded to the City the 46-acre lot legally described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />SYSCO OUTLOT A <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission reviewed the proposed <br />Comprehensive Plan and Planned Unit Development amendments on July 20,2005 and <br />held a duly noticed public hearing for the amendments on August 3, 2005. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, per Minnesota Statutes 462.356, the Mounds View Planning <br />Commission reviewed the proposed transfer of land to SYSCO and finds that the transfer <br />would be consistent with the goals of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Mounds View Planning Commission <br />does hereby make the following findings of fact relating to the Comprehensive Plan <br />amendment, the Planned Unit Development (PUD) amendment and proposed transfer of <br />land to SYSCO Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. SYSCO Minnesota is situated north of Trunk Highway 10 and south of <br />County Road J, west of Interstate 35W. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The SYSCO site, as identified in Exhibit A, is currently designated Heavy <br />Industrial (HI) in the Comprehensive Plan and is zoned Planned Unit <br />development (PUD). <br />
