<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 804-05 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONFIRMING PROPOSED SALE OF LAND TO MEDTRONIC <br />CONSISTENT WITH THE MOUNDS VIEW COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, AS REQUIRED <br />BY MINNESOTA STATUTES 462.356 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on June 27,2005, the Mounds View City Council approved a purchase <br />and redevelopment agreement for the proposed transfer and redevelopment of the Bridges <br />Golf Course to and by Medtronic, Inc.; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 11, 2005, the Mounds View City Council approved a <br />Comprehensive Plan amendment pertaining to the Bridges Golf Course site; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the new Comprehensive Plan designation forthe Bridges site is "OFFICE", <br /> <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Medtronic intends to redevelop the Bridges site as a corporate office <br />campus totaling 820,000 square feet of building area; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Medtronic intends to develop the site preserving the large wetland on the <br />east side of the property and improving the characteristics and flow of the judicial creek that <br />crosses the site; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a corporate office campus is consistent with the newly adopted future land <br />use designation for the Bridges site. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Mounds View Planning Commission <br />does hereby find that the proposed sale of the Bridges site to Medtronic would be consistent <br />with the Comprehensive Plan, satisfying MN Statutes 462.356. <br /> <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission directs Staff <br />to forward this Resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the mi.~);;es. <br />" 1,'/ <br />.-! .I II"" <br />Adopted this 20th day of July, 2005....-~..i--..,:>.'iI.L.p._ .._-_~,:.;.:;".~..- ",',' <br />(./.,....7~;1'....~'~:.,......:/?DZl~~ <br />/'/".
