MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1031-15 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT <br />TO TITLE 1100, CHAPTER 1106 OF THE MOUNDS VIEW ZONING CODE <br />TO ALLOW ADDITIONAL EXTERIOR MATERIALS ON COLUMBARIA AT <br />RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS; <br />SPECIAL PLANNING CASE 193-15 <br />WHEREAS, City staff has recommended that amendments be made to the <br />zoning code relating to materials on the exterior of columbaria; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission agrees with the City Staff <br />recommendation to allow brick and bronze on columbaria on the properties of religious <br />institutions; and, <br />WHEREAS, City staff has amended Chapter 1106.03 of the Mounds View City <br />Code by deleting the r}r��rr�nzrnr language and adding the underlined text as follows: <br />1106.03: ACCESSORY USES: The following are permitted accessory uses in an R-1 <br />District: <br />Subd. 8. Columbarium as an accessory use to a religious institution; subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />(a) The religious institution must own the property on which the columbarium is <br />placed. <br />(b) The exterior of the columbaria must be �-I+� stone, brick, bronze, stainless <br />steel or aluminum. <br />(c) The combined square footage of all accessory buildings, including <br />columbaria, shall not exceed 1,800 square feet. <br />(d) Columbaria shall only be placed in a side yard or rear yard area. <br />(e) Columbaria shall have a minimum side yard and rear yard setback of five (5') <br />feet. <br />
