Mounds View Planning Commission November 15, 2017 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br /> Ayes – 7 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />7. Reports <br /> <br />A. Upcoming Planning Cases & Activity <br /> <br />City Planner/Supervisor Sevald reported staff had no upcoming planning cases. <br /> <br />B. Staff Updates <br /> <br />City Planner/Supervisor Sevald provided the Commission with an update from staff regarding <br />the MWF apartment request. He reported the County has approved access for this development <br />from Groveland Road to Mounds View Boulevard. Updated plans for this development were <br />reviewed with the Commission along with preliminary plans for the Crossroad Pointe <br />redevelopment site. <br /> <br />C. Council Updates <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause provided the Planning Commission with an update from the City <br />Council. He explained the Council recently discussed the restructuring of the Public Works <br />Department and hired Don Peterson as the Public Works Director. He updated the Commission <br />on the City Administrator hiring process and noted interviews would be held on December 15th. <br />He reported the Council recently approved a liquor license for the movie theater. He commented <br />on the roadways that would be completed in 2018 within the North Business Park. He noted the <br />Council accepted a donation from Bethlehem Baptist and approved a cable franchise with <br />Comcast. He thanked the residents of Mounds View for their support to hire one additional <br />Police Officer. He provided further comment on the changes that were made to the Human <br />Resources position at City Hall. <br /> <br />D. Planning Commissioner Reports <br /> <br />Chair Stevenson reported the Planning Commission would have one vacancy effective January <br />1st. He encouraged those interested in serving on the Planning Commission to contact City Hall <br />for further information. <br /> <br /> <br />8. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />September 6, 2017. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Chair Stevenson/Commissioner Rundle. To approve the Minutes of the <br />September 6, 2017 regular Planning Commission meetings as slightly amended. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 7 Nays – 0 Motion carried.
