On Page 12 on the roll call vote change Sonterre to
an aye vote and Thomas to nay.

MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Thomas. To Approve the Monday, January 22, 2001, City Council
Minutes with the requested changes.

Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried.

B. Accept Park & Recreation Meeting Minutes, December 13, 2000

Council Member Stigney inquired as to why this item was on Council’s agenda. He also asked if
Council was merely acknowledging the Park and Recreation Committee had minutes or if
Council needed to be concerned with the content of those minutes.

Mayor Sonterre explained per city code the Park and Recreation Committee must share its
minutes with Council and the Planning Commission.

Council Member Marty noted the Committee had discussed requesting funds for a City survey of
park needs and inquired as to whether that request will be discussed at an upcoming Council
work session.

Mayor Sonterre explained the issue was discussed in a previous work session where Council
directed the Committee to begin the survey process.

Council Member Marty inquired as to whether the City needed to look for a cost estimate for this
survey or whether the survey was in the preliminary stages.

Public Works Director Ulrich confirmed the survey was in the preliminary stages indicating it
still needs to be determined whether to proceed with the survey.

Council Member Stigney noted the agenda for the Park and Recreation Committee meeting had a
typographical error in the year.

MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Accept the December 13, 2000, Park & Recreation
Meeting Minutes as presented.

Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried.
