PROCEEDINGS OF THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br />May 29, 2001 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />2401 Highway 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />7:10 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br />1. MEETING IS CALLED TO ORDER <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL: Sonterre, Quick, Marty, Stigney, and Thomas. <br /> <br />3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br /> A. Monday, May 29, 2001 City Council Agenda. <br /> <br />Mayor Sonterre noted that Item 5B would be an overall update on Pinewood Elementary. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Approve the May 29, 2001, City Council Agenda as <br />amended. <br /> <br /> Ayes - 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. PUBLIC INPUT <br /> <br />David Jahnke of 8428 Eastwood Road questioned if the three-minute time limit included the time <br />it took for Council to answer his questions. <br /> <br />Mayor Sonterre indicated that Mr. Jahnke would be given latitude and asked him to proceed with <br />his questions. <br /> <br />Mr. Jahnke asked for clarification on the comments concerning TIF monies made at the last <br />Council meeting. He then stated he was very concerned about how much the City has spent in <br />attorney’s fees on the billboard issue. He stated he felt that the attorney’s bill is so high he is not <br />sure that the City will make enough money on the billboards to cover it. <br /> <br />Mr. Jahnke noted that he had brought up many of the issues that are now surfacing and he <br />thanked City Administrator Miller for the way she is handling administration of City business. <br />He further commented that City Administrator Miller seems to want accountability and he <br />thanked her for that. <br />
