Item No. 6G <br />Staff Report No. <br />Meeting Date: August 13, 2001 <br />Type of Business: CA <br />WK: Work Session; PH: Public Hearing; <br />CA: Consent Agenda; CB: Council Business City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Tracy Juell, Administrative Assistant for the Public Works Dept <br />Item Title/Subject: Mounds View Drive, Pavement Deterioration <br />Date of Report: August 29, 2018 <br /> <br />On July 16, 2001, a staff report was presented reflecting estimated costs regarding the mill and <br />overlay project of Mounds View Drive; at this time, Resolution 5595 was approved to set a <br />Public Hearing date of August 27, 2001. <br /> <br />Staff proceeded with the necessary steps stated in Chapter 202 regarding assessment procedures. <br />It was discovered that due to the 60 day waiting period, see Improvement Petition Procedures, <br />202.07 Subd. 4 (a) and (b), the date that the project would commence would approximately be on <br />October 27, 2001. Due to the lateness of the season and possible weather <br />conditions/temperatures, Ramsey County Public Works would not be able to perform this <br />project. <br /> <br />It is staffs’ recommendation to cancel the Public Hearing set for August 27, 2001 and revisit this <br />proposed project in 2002. For this interim period, the Public Works Department will temporarily <br />repair the road to make it drivable until a permanent repair can be made. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />_________________________________ <br />Tracy Juell, Public Works Administrative Assistant <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends canceling the Public Hearing set for August 27, <br />2001 regarding the proposed Mill and Overlay Project for Mounds View Drive and revisit this <br />proposed project in 2002. <br /> <br />
