RESOLUTION NO. 5671 <br /> ADOPTING THE 2002 PROPERTY TAX LEVY AND <br />GENERAL FUND BUDGET <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> County of Ramsey <br /> State of Minnesota <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council conducted numerous meetings and made available <br />detailed copies of the proposed 2002 Budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in accordance with the State <br />of Minnesota Truth In Taxation requirements on the proposed 2002 Budget on <br />November 26, 2001; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, when the Fire Improvement Bonds of 1991 were issued, the City’s <br />2002 debt service payment was scheduled to be $76,524, however, due to <br />changes in the allocation of costs between participating cities, Mounds View’s <br />actual 2002 debt service cost on said bonds will be $58,613. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View that the following appropriations for the calendar year 2002 are <br />hereby approved: <br /> GENERAL FUND: Amount <br />City Council $ 74,865 <br />Advisory Commissions 14,050 <br /> City Administrator 183,325 <br />Elections 33,944 <br />Central Services 321,150 <br />Finance 203,140 <br />Community Development 356,401 <br />Police 1,885,281 <br />Fire 164,705 <br />Public Works Admin. 62,243 <br />Streets 312,680 <br />Fleet management 180,525 <br />Recreation 148,365 <br />Parks & Athletic Fields 286,264 <br />Forestry 60,030 <br />Convention & Visitors 28,500 <br />Social services 16,435 <br />Contingency 85,112 <br />Transfer To Other Funds 25,000 <br />Community Center 50,000 <br />Fitness Program 5,000 <br />Fire Bonds of 1991 Debt Service 58,613 <br />Total General Fund $4,555,628
