<br />RESOLUTION 5494 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING KATHI OSMANSON AS THE CERTIFIED BUILDING OFFICIAL FOR <br />THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has entered into an agreement with the Spring Lake Park-Blaine- <br />Mounds View Fire Department for building official services for the City of Mounds View; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the contract requires that an individual be named as the certified Building Official; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Kathi Osmanson is duly certified by the State of Minnesota Commissioner of Administration <br />to perform Building Official services; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Uniform Building Code holds that the Building Official, when acting in good faith and <br />without malice in the discharge of duties, has a suit brought against them, shall not be held personally liable; <br />moreover, that the City shall indemnify said official from any judgment resulting therefrom. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that Kathi <br />Osmanson, through contract with the Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View Fire Department, is the certified <br />Building Official for the City of Mounds View; moreover, that the City of Mounds View agrees to indemnify the <br />aforementioned official, who, when acting in good faith and without malice, has a judgment rendered against them. <br /> <br /> Adopted this 11th day of December, 2000. <br /> <br /> <br /> _____________________________________ <br /> Dan Coughlin, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST <br /> _____________________________________ <br /> Kathleen Miller, City Clerk / Administrator <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br /> <br />J:\DATA\USERS\JIME\SHARE\City Council Stuff\Misc Reports\RESOLUTION 5494.doc <br /> <br />
