Johnson Report <br />May 22, 2000 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5440 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW FOR A 400 <br />SQUARE-FOOT OVERSIZED SHED AT 7474 GROVELAND ROAD; MOUNDS VIEW <br />PLANNING CASE NO. CU00-005 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Phil Johnson has applied for a conditional use permit to construct a 400 <br />square-foot shed in the back yard of his property located at 7474 Groveland Road, property zoned <br />R-1, Single Family Residential, and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />The East 120.0 Feet of Lot 104, Spring Lake Park Knolls Addition, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Mounds View Zoning Code conditionally allows sheds up to 400 <br />square feet in area with a maximum accessory building area not to exceed 1,400 square feet; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council has reviewed the following documents <br />regarding this proposal: <br /> <br />a. Development Application <br />b. Zoning Map <br />c. Site Plan <br />d. Photographic Documentation <br />e. Signatures of Neighboring Residents <br />f. Planning Commission Resolution 618-00 <br />g. Staff Report <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council finds that the proposal satisfies the <br />dimensional and conditional use permit requirements as outlined in Chapters 1104, 1106 and <br />1125 of the Zoning Code; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council finds that the request is consistent with the Mounds View Comprehensive Plan in that the Comprehensive Plan encourages the development and maintenance of residential areas so as to improve the quality, appearance and attractiveness of housing units and residential property in general; and, WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council finds that the proposed shed would not be out of place given the character and geography of the surrounding area involved in that the lot is rather large and sheds are commonplace residential structural improvements which help keep properties neat and orderly; and, <br />
