• <br />ALERT TO GROVBLAND ROAD R~SIDBNTS! <br />Mayor Jerry Linke and Councilmember Phyllis Blanchard <br />annunced at last Monday's council meeting that they favor <br />closing of f the connection that was planned as part of <br />the b10 project to connect County Road J and the Freeway <br />to 85th Avenue just west of Red Oak Drive! <br />-- _ , <br />The result would be that the only access to County J and <br />10~b10 would be from Groveland Road, Rnollwood Drive, and <br />Spring Lake Road, Such a configuration would <br />considerably increase the traf f is on Groveland Road and <br />~ on Ardan going past the park according to a study done b <br />y <br />the city. Jerry broke acknowledges that that would be <br />the result. Phyllis Blanchard says she thinks the brunt <br />of the traffic increase SHOULD BR on Groveland Road <br />because it is wider than the rest. . <br />The issue may be raised at the council meeting. Monday, <br />October 14 , Another issue that will be discussed is the <br />transfer of street light expenses from the general taxes <br />to a utility charge such as the one for water and sewer. <br />If you want to have any input on these important <br />decisions, you should attend the meeting on the 34th. <br />Pat Rickaby <br />~ City .
