<br />June 2017 3-1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />3.0 Existing Conditions <br />The proposed site currently contains one single family house. The site is bounded by CSAH <br />10 on the south, Groveland Road on the east, and residential uses on the north and west. <br /> <br />Near the site location, CSAH 10 is a four-lane divided roadway with turn lanes at major <br />intersections. Groveland Road is a two-lane north/south roadway. Existing conditions at <br />intersections near the proposed project location are shown in Figure 3 and described <br />below. <br /> <br />CSAH 10/Groveland Road (minor street stop control) <br /> <br />This intersection has four approaches and is controlled with stop signs on the northbound <br />and southbound approaches. The eastbound and westbound CSAH 10 approaches provide <br />one left turn lane, two through lanes, and one right turn lane. The northbound and <br />southbound approaches provide one lane shared by left turn, through, and right turn <br />movements. The median on CSAH 10 is approximately 30 feet wide, which creates space <br />between the eastbound and westbound lanes for a vehicle to wait before completing a turn <br />onto CSAH 10. This allows for a two-stage crossing maneuver of CSAH 10 for northbound <br />and southbound traffic. <br /> <br />Traffic Volume Data <br /> <br />Data at the intersection was recorded in May 2017. <br />
