Therapeutic Massage Code Amendment Report <br />January 18, 2012 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />Staff has included a draft example of zoning code language that would add a “Special <br />Home Occupation Permit.” This proposed zoning code addition has been sent to the City <br />Attorney to review in order to make sure it doesn’t contradict any existing Code language. <br />An annual city business license for massage therapists will still be required. The special <br />permit would only apply if the therapist wants to operate the business from their home. <br /> <br />Discussion points: <br /> What residential zoning districts should home based massage therapy be allowed <br />in? All of them?
