Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reviewed Staff Report No. 92-349C <br />regarding Ordinance No. 514 Amending Chapter 116 of the Mounds View <br />Municipal Code Entitled, "Itinerant Amusement Rides, Carnivals and <br />Circuses." This ordinance brings the City into conformance with the <br />State Law that went into effect on August 1, 1992. All cities will be <br />passing the same language regarding liability insurance. The wording <br />for this change was obtained from the League of Minnesota Cities. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Blanchard/Wuori to waive the actual reading and approve <br />the introduction of Ordinance No. 514 Amending the Municipal Code of <br />Mounds View by Amending Chapter 116, "Itinerant Amusement Rides, <br />Carnivals and Circuses. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />E. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reviewed Staff Report No. 92- <br />350C regarding the agreement for funding of the DARE Program Between <br />the City of Mounds View and the Mounds View School District. The <br />agreement provides for reimbursement of the salaries for the City's <br />DARE officers by the School District. The funding is secured by a <br />$1 per capital levy in the District as provided by State Law. <br />• MOTIONJSECOND: Wuori/Rickaby to authorize the Glerk-Administrator <br />to enter into an agreement with the School District for funding of the <br />DARE Program Between the City of Mounds View and the School District <br />and for the City to Receive these Funds <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMEMBERS: <br />Councilmember Rickabv - No report. <br />Councilmember Quick - No report. <br />Councilmember Blanchard - No report. <br />Councilmember Wuori - No report. <br />REPORT OF MAYOR: <br />A. Mayor Linke stated that he had attended a meeting with Police and <br />Fire Department personnel from other Ramsey County cities to discuss <br />the dispatch services and what should be happening with dispatch <br />services. There will be an increase of $14,000 for the City of Mounds <br />View for 1993 which makes the total payment for dispatch services for <br />Mounds View in 1993, $43,000. <br />There will be a meeting with the dispatchers to discuss procedures <br />so that all cities will expect the same type of procedure regarding <br />their calls. There will be a process set up for each type of call. <br />
