Review Planning Commissioner Applications <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller stated the City has received only one application for the Planning <br />Commission and that was from Gary Rundle. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission unanimously recommended that Gary Rundle be appointed for a <br />three-year term on the Planning Commission from 2011 through 2013. <br /> <br /> B. Review Housing Action Plan for Metropolitan Council Livable Communities <br /> Act <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller stated Mounds View has been a participant in the Metropolitan <br />Council Livable Communities Program (LCA) since the program began in 1996. This plan is to <br />guide City actions and policies about housing, especially for low and moderate income persons. <br />Since Mounds View has opted to continue participating in the Livable Communities programs <br />for the next cycle of 2011-2020, the City must also update its Housing Action Plan to show how <br />we will work to comply with the housing goals set by the Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br />Chair Stevenson asked about obtaining grants. <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller stated the City has applied for grants and loans for projects in the past <br />through the Metropolitan Council Livable Communities Act. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission recommends that the City Council approve the 2011-2020 Housing <br />Action Plan for Metropolitan Council Livable Communities Act. <br /> <br /> . C. Set 2011 Planning Commission Meeting Schedule <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller presented the Planning Commission’s 2011 Meeting Schedule and <br />asked the Commission for any changes. <br /> <br />Chair Stevenson suggested removing the December 21, 2011 meeting. <br />
