Comprehensive Plan 2008 Update <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller led the Commission through a discussion on the remainder of Chapter <br />6, Transportation. <br /> <br />Commissioner Miller questioned who establishes the standard relative to Goal 4, Policy G, <br />Signage for Trail Use. <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller replied it could be the City or the County. <br /> <br />Director Ericson reported the topic of trail signs has been discussed at a Parks and Recreation <br />Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Miller questioned whether meetings are planned with adjoining cities or counties <br />relative to Goal 5 and trails crossing boundaries. <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller replied that when working on trails that cross city boundaries, <br />coordination and communication takes place between all of the cities involved and the county. <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller reviewed the changes, deletions, and additions to the Comp Plan with <br />the Commissioners as discussed with the Comp Plan Task Force. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued on the current and potential trail ways plan. <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller directed a discussion on transit. <br /> <br />Commissioner Gunn questioned whether bus shelters were considered in Mounds View.
